Moderate Exercise Lower the Metabolic Syndrome risk

Doing a moderate regular exercise such as a brisk 30-minute walk most days of the week is a good way to prevent metabolic syndrome (a health condition that can lead to many major diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and stroke), a new study suggest. Study author Johanna L. Johnson, a clinical researcher at Duke University Medical Center’s department of medicine said that we found a modest amount of moderate intensity exercise was very effective in improving metabolic syndrome risk. Sun Lights May Lower Lung cancer Risk

New research found that staying out in the sun can prevent you from some lung cancer. But still, that does not mean that if you spend more time in the sun then you will not got the risks that come with smoking, according to the study that is published in the January issue of the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health. You can not make it as an excuse to trade skin cancer for lung cancer.

“The problem is that people might over-interpret this and stay in the sun for hours,” said Cedric Garland, study senior author, professor of family and preventive medicine at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), and participating member at the Moores UCSD Cancer Center in La Jolla. Secret foods for Women

Sometimes it can be hard for a woman to tell the nutrients from advertising ploys. Nutritionist Elizabeth Somer, MS, RD, author of Age-proof Your Body said that, we are sometimes led to believe that a specific food is healthier than it really is. As most of us know and happened in the 90’s  where low fat cookies made everyone temporarily forget about calories. A product may advertise itself as a non cholesterol, but it still can be loaded with bad fats or tons of calories.
