Waste disposal protein is mechanism behind cancer tumor suppression
(Rutgers University) Investigators at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey (UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School) and Rutgers University have discovered that a waste disposal protein is the key to cancer tumor suppression in a process known as autophagy — a process in which cancer cells eat themselves.
