FDA Expands Telmisartan Indications
WASHINGTON (MedPage Today) The FDA has expanded the indication for the antihypertension drug telmisartan (Micardis), making it the first angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) approved for primary prevention in high-risk patients unable to take an ACE inhibitor.
