Heart Healthy Supplement?
Some may call it a fish oil failure.
In brand new research, just published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, a team from Greece examined the records of almost 70-thousand patients involved in 20 previous studies. All of the participants had regularly taken omega-3 fatty acid supplements for their heart health benefits.
According to the data, more than 7,000 had passed away. Close to 4-thousand from cardiac death and more than 11-hundred of sudden death. They also tracked more than 18-hundred heart attacks and almost 15-hundred strokes.
The researchers report the numbers show that omega-3s are not associated with a lower risk of these cardiovascular conditions or death in general.
As always, speak to your physician about what is right for you.
